Sheers recently completed another successful Fluoride installation. 

Sheers are specialists in the design, build, installation and commissioning of hexafluorosilicic acid (H2SiF6) dosing and control systems, and have installations with numerous UK water utilities. 

Fluoride is added to the water supply in many parts of the UK, to improve dental health. This is done under the instruction of PHE (Public Health England) and the design of such systems is in line with strict DWI (Drinking Water Inspectorate) guidelines and a rigorous Approved Code of Practice. 

Sheers have developed packaged solutions that fit perfectly with these specifications which include bulk tanks, day tanks, transfer & dosing systems as well as PLC/SCADA process control systems. 

The chemical in this instance is dosed proportionally to flow, with an online fluoride monitoring instrument to continuously monitor fluoride levels, and ensure against the possibility of an acid overdose.
