APPRENTICE QUALIFICATION – Jamie Layfield

Sheers Ltd are delighted that mature apprentice Jamie Layfield from Darlington has successfully completed an EAL NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Electrical Control Systems Equipment.

Jamie joined the company in the spring of 2019 as the first employee in the company’s history to partake in the new Mature Apprentice scheme which was created to provide role and skills specific training and development for local people with relatable skills that were previously unable to find employment in their chosen field. Jamie’s been a credit to the company so far, demonstrating an excellent work ethic the ability to listen and is a valued member of the team at Sheers Ltd. 

Despite disruption due to Covid-19 he was able to successfully complete the training in October 2020 and received a £50 gift voucher from the company.
